This year had its ups and downs, and is certainly one for the books. However, there’s much to celebrate, and if you’re an ARISTA resident looking for a place to ring in the new year, now is a great time to start making plans. Whether you’re looking for something festive or more on the relaxing side, our list has something for all tastes. Here’s what we’re looking forward to this year:
Spend New Year’s Eve close to home at a neighborhood event. Here are a few options:
- Book a table at Vinca in Broomfield for a five-course dinner experience and enjoy delightful wine. Vinca is known for its wine selection and delicious food. Fresh ingredients are sure to be the highlight of New Year’s dinner.
- Have drinks with family or friends at Colorado Keg House. This popular hang out in Broomfield is wrapping up its special New Year’s plans. Check the website for details in the coming days.

New Year’s Eve for the 21 and Older Crowd
Celebrating the new year looks different for everyone. Fortunately, both Boulder and downtown Denver are host to a few spirited events, like the following:
- Spend the evening at Boulder’s famous Hotel Boulderado. This 100-year-old hotel and venue, nestled in downtown Boulder, is hosting what is sure to be a memorable New Year’s Eve party in the hotel’s bar.
- Music lovers can usher in the new year at the Boulder Theater. Rock out with loved ones on the last night of 2022.
- Experience New Year’s Eve in Boulder at the St Julien Hotel & Spa for its Masquerade Ball. Wear your dancing shoes and sip champagne as 2023 arrives.
Downtown Denver Events
- Party like it’s 1920 at a Great Gatsby-themed event at Hyatt Regency Denver at Colorado Convention Center. Get gussied up in your best pinstripes or flapper dress for this fun event.
- Dress to the nines to welcome 2023 at Mile High Station’s black tie celebration. Dance the night away listening to local bands and hit the photobooth or selfie room to capture great memories.
- Check out Ellie Caulkins Opera House’s 20th annual White Rose Gala on New Year’s night and get your groove on while ringing in the new year.
- Enjoy a champagne toast at midnight at the Soul & Sol New Year’s event at the DoubleTree by Hilton Denver Central Park. This celebration features DJs, including Soul School, Latin sol, DJ Dizzy D and DJ Fa’dorah.
There are several options for family-friendly events on New Year’s Eve, like the following:
- Celebrate NYE morning to afternoon with the kids at the Wow! Children’s Museum in Lafayette. Choose party one from 10am-noon or party two from 1-3pm.
- Get moving at the Avalon Ballroom on December 31. Dance into the new year with a Zumba class, listening to two live bands and three DJs.
- Meet Sharkey, the Denver Aquarium’s mascot at the Noon Year’s Eve celebration. Bring the kids and your curiosity, and take part in the balloon drop, buffet, and other activities. Visit Sharkey, see the wondrous creatures, and welcome the new year with little ones.
- Start the new year celebrating early on Friday, December 30, by joining the Hands and Voices New Year Virtual 5K: Freeze Your Fanny 5K. Complete the 5K any way you want – running, walking, riding a bike or hiking and do some good. Register for the virtual race, receive a t-shirt, and support the families of children who are deaf or hard of hearing. Proceeds from the race directly help participating US chapters of Hands & Voices.
