Broomfield, CO (October 2008) – The developers of Arista, Broomfield’s new mixed-use, transit-oriented development, are pleased to announce the completion of the second of the master-planned community’s six parks. Arista Park is the beautiful two-block centerpiece of the development’s town center known as Arista Place.
“Arista Park was designed to solidify the village/town center concept of Arista, and bring all of the components of Arista Place together,” said Tim Wiens, the developer of Arista. “We are proud to open Arista Park and provide a great amenity for both the new office tenants and the residents. There is no doubt that the park will quickly become ‘the gathering place,’ a place to see and be seen.”
Arista’s main street development, known as Arista Place, includes office space and residential living situated over main street retail. Arista Park was designed to harmonize with those components, as well as offer a centralized place for the residents and tenants to gather. The park features a performing water fountain, urban plazas, pedestrian low-wall seating designed around intricate landscaping, the grand lawn, a bandstand and a fire pit. Future plans for the park include concerts and movies in the park, farmer’s markets, and other community activities.
The festivities for the grand opening include a ribbon cutting and short program including remarks from the Mayor and the developer. Refreshments will be served in the park. Kids are invited to help christen the park with their sidewalk artistry. Other park activities include meeting Rowdy Rage, and William T. Goat, the event center team mascots, and other park entertainers. The program will conclude with the park’s newest, state-of-the-art feature, a choreographed, musical water-fountain presentation.
